A Lesson Learned

I learned a huge lesson today. A rhetorical question is not just a figure of speech in form of a question which is asked in order to make a point. It can also produce an effect such as more powerful argument, an endless one, especially when being used in doubtful tone. In my defense, isn't it ironic? Someone "ask" you something only to doubt your answer or just looking for a supportive presence of what they want to hear. If they think they know better, then why bother asking in the first place? Should it still be rhetorical if they eventually ask the same question to a different person and find out that you gave them the right answer all along? Now, who's doubting who?
